Best Sushi in San Francisco?

So what is the best sushi in SF? Some say blowfish, some say tokoyo a go go... give me a hint!

My personal favourite is Zaoh, 1555 Mission St: big portions, decent prices, extremely friendly service. "This fish is delish!"

Blowfish? Tokyo? Horrors! The place to go is Kabuto Sushi. If north, then Sushi Ran in Sausalito; if south then Fuki Sushi in Palo Alto.

Under duress of the economy I can occasionally be found at Sushi Chardonnay for their $20 all-you-can-eat and surprisingly decent sushi.

Without a doubt the best sushi I've had in the city was at Kabtuo - 516 Geary Blvd. It's a cute place...very japanese; not at all trendy.

The best Sushi I've had anywhere was at Mikuni. There are two locations in the Sacramento area - one is on Fair Oaks and the other is in Roseville, CA. Nothing in the city can touch Mikuni. SO GOOD!

Okina Sushi on Arguello has my vote. It is between Cabrillo and Balboa. The owner lives upstair above this small (20 table seats and 6 bar seats) restaurant. He will only serve the freshest of offerings. It is like no other in the City.

Hamano in Noe Valley is the best I've had. No Name sushi on Church is the cheapest. We Be (on 16th, not 22nd) has the best quality for price, especially their hamachi.

I tried I Love Sushi on Potrero the other day. Not bad, though not amazing.

There's some place I keep hearing about out in the sunset, something about a fish market. Someone help me out here...

The sushi place in the Sunset that Chad is talking about may be Yum Yum Fish. It's on Irving around 23rd Avenue. It's a tiny little take out sushi place and also sells beautiful fish for sushi/sashimi purposes. I haven't eaten my way through their entire menu yet but the sushi I've had there has been fabulous. I get that little warm feeling in my stomach after eating their sushi that means I've had a good meal.

i've had mediocre meals at both zaoh and kabuto, but never at country station sushi on mission, which run by some of the world's greatest butoh performers, and is therefore closed during butoh festivals.
